This attraction explores the history of the world-famous drink. Follow the different steps of the brewing process, experience the world of Guinness advertising and get to know Arthur Guinness – the man who created it. The visit ends with a tasting session (over 18’s only).

02 Dublin Castle

At the heart of Irish history since its construction in 1204, the Castle still hosts official visits from International Head of States and is the site of every presidential inauguration. Whilst access to the public grounds and the Chester Beatty Library is free, the Royal Chapel and the State Apartments can only be visited as part of a guided tour.

03 Dublin Zoo

The number one visitor’s attraction in Ireland, Dublin Zoo was founded in 1831 and nowadays contains over 400 animals. The Zoo’s mission is to promote conservation of endangered species, education and study.

04 Christ Church Cathedral Dublin

Built c.1028, the Cathedral is the spiritual heart of the city. The crypt is the oldest surviving structure in Dublin and houses the famous “Cat and Rat”, the heart of Lawrence O’Toole, Saint Patron of Dublin and the Treasury. The Cathedral Choir sings Evensong 4 times a week and attracts a number of visitors thanks to its worldwide reputation.

05 Dublinia

Experience life in Dublin in the Middle Ages through a number of artifacts, models and audio-visual displays. At the end of your visit, climb up St Michael’s Tower for a spectacular view of the city

06 Trinity College

Founded by Elizabeth I in 1592, it is one of the most visited sights in Ireland. It contains the Book of Kells, an ancient illustrated manuscript of the Gospels dating back to the IX century.

07 Kilmainham Gaol

One of the largest un-occupied gaols in Europe, it offers an insight into Irish political events from the 1780’s to the 1920’s. The visit includes an audio-visual show and an exhibition into the history of the prison and its restoration.

08 River Cruise on the Liffey

Take to the water for a different view over the city with a 45-minute-boat trip on the river Liffey. The cruise features live commentary from knowledgeable and entertaining guides.
